The market of quality childcare for professional families is very limited. There are not enough daycares available for the number of children that need to be serviced. You will find a waiting list at most facilities. Hopefully we can expand to reach other communities in the future, and duplicate what we have done here.

Opportunities: The opportunities I can provide are educating my staff with a profession in quality childcare. The get a  certification in CPR with CDA credit and Medical Administration Training (MAT).

Nana’s Kids is a woman owned business operating out of Mamaroneck, NY. It provides high quality child care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years from 6:30am to 6:45pm Monday through Friday. The business targets professional families and also works to provide one free space per year to a low income family. This child is, of course, never singled out from the other children and is always just a member of the class.

There are three separate rooms to at the center which and are based on age. The Infant room has the lowest teacher to child ratio in the county at 2:1 in order for all infants to receive the care that Nana’s aspires to. The toddler room has a 4:1 teacher to child ratio and is an excellent setting for children learning to talk and express themselves more clearly. The preschool room has a 6:1 teacher to child ratio and is a true preschool in that the children learn the alphabet, their numbers, Spanish words, science projects, community awareness and how to interact with their peers in a positive manner. The preschoolers, at their parents’ discretion, also participate in Karate lessons twice a week for a small fee.

Nana’s Kids is a unique and exceptional child care provider. The standards are higher than the majority of centers in the area and therefore marketing is accomplished by word of mouth. There has been no need to provide any further marketing or advertising as the wait list is always full with families hoping for an opening.
