Letter of Recommendation

Ruby came to Nana's Kids, a shy child unsure of her surroundings. She spoke very little English and she had a hard time separating. It was a time of anxiety and stress. We were filled with question marks. Will she adapt? Will she socialize? Will she be happy with her new environment? Now, two years later, Ruby is well settled into her life at Nana's Kids; a happy, social, confident, caring and outspoken child. She has made tremendous strides in her communication skills, her interaction with other children, as well as her gross motor skills. Everyday she looks forward to starting her day at Nana's Kids where a nurturing and supportive environment fosters friendship, laughter and lots of fun activities.

 

We owe our thanks to the loving and supportive staff at Nana's Kids. Through your loving and caring, Ruby has grown so much the past two years. She has become attached to many of you during this period; in particular, Kevin, Elizabeth and Titi. Thanks to your patience and caring, Ruby feels very much at home at Nana's Kids.

 

She has developed to become much more self aware and confident. She has become very verbal, constantly expressing her feelings and thoughts. She has gained tremendous knowledge through your teachings and interaction with other children. We are grateful to the progress she has made in her language skills, the creative arts and craft projects she gets to bring home, the photos she took with a big smile on her face, the enjoyable walks she takes to the park and nearby neighborhood. She will have fond memories of Nana's Kids, of the kindness, caring and love she received from everyone.

 

We thank all of you for your efforts. In particular Kevin, who has shown Ruby so much love, which has made the transitioning into a foreign environment much more easy and painless for Ruby.

 

Ruby loves all of you and she will miss you dearly!

Dear Nana and Nana's Kid's Staff:

 

Words can’t express how grateful we are to have found Nana's Kids! Talia loves going to Nana's every day and talks about her friends and the teachers all the time at home. We were so lucky to have found a place that took such wonderful care of her, a safe place where she was to grow and learn. Her vocabulary increased by leaps and bounds from the wonderful programming, and she loves to sing us the songs she learned at Nana's.

 

Your staff has taken amazing care of her, and we absolutely loved getting the daily photos of her having fun. We also can’t thank enough your wonderful ball room staff for noticing when her balance was off - we took her to the doctor and sure enough, she had an ear infection. The doctor told us she should praise our childcare provider for noticing!

 

It is a difficult thing to entrust the care of your child to someone else. But you and your staff were so wonderful and made it a terrific experience. Thank you so much for everything!

Dear Nana, Kevin, Melody and Daisy

 

Please accept our sincere thanks for everything you have done for Chenxin during the last 8 months.

 

Although Chenxin has not reached the time to fully express herself, we can see how happy she is at Nana’s Kids.  She came to Nana’s Kids when she was 1 year and 5 months without the ability to feed herself.  We were surprised to see how she mastered the self-feeding skill within a week. Chenxin came from a Chinese language environment.  At the beginning of her days in Nana’s Kids, we were worried that the language would be a big challenge for her.  With the kind help of teachers, now she can not only understand all instructions but also express herself with simple sentences.

 

There are many things that we would like to express our appreciation, the nice photos you sent to us during Chenxin’s first couple of months, the activities you planned, the artworks you encouraged Chenxin to make, the friendship that you helped her to foster with other kids, the beautiful crown you made for her two year old birthday…

 

We know Chenxin will miss you all immensely – you have treated her like a family member.  She is so lucky to have her first education here and she does learn a lot.  We have to move to another tow.  We wish to be able to have Chenxin come by occasionally for visiting.

 

Please feel free to use us as a reference.  We have been very happy in our time with you.

Dear Nana's Kids,
 
Our daughter Chloe has been enrolled at Nana's Kids for only a short time now, yet she has grown in so many ways over this period. Chloe speaks better, is more comfortable socially, learned to drink from a cup, eat with a fork and spoon, and sleep without her pacifier (this is a biggie!). Chloe looks forward to going to daycare every day. The staff and Marney are loving and caring and so easy to deal with. We receive photos of Chloe sent to our email during the day, showing how much fun she is having at Nana's Kids. The photos are a welcome surprise during the workday and it makes the time we spend apart from her so much easier. The food Chloe enjoys at Nana's Kids is healthy and she is actually eating more now that before she was enrolled!

I am writing this recommendation on behalf of Nana’s Kids.  My son began attending Nana’s Kids at 1 year old and my daughter at 5 months old.  We recently left because we moved to another state.  The staff at Nana’s Kids is by far one of the most caring and attentive group of people I could’ve chosen to care for my children.  They are kind, loving, nurturing and caring towards children and each one developed a personal and special relationship with each one of my kids.  My children participated in fun, educational and creative activities developed by the wonderful staff.  They were happy to go to daycare in the morning and had a smile on their face when they saw their teachers.  We will miss Nana’s Kids, but we hold many special memories.

We're big fans of Nana's Kids! Since our son Julian was born, we've used a big chain daycare and then switched to nanny care, and now he’s at Nana's Kids since our move from the city this summer. And we can confidently say we’re 100% happy with the care he is getting at Nana’s Kids.

 

Julian is in the toddler room and truly enjoys going to school to play with his friends and teachers. He tells us about circle time, the shapes and colors he is learning, and even throws out a few Spanish words like ‘hola’ and ‘buenas dias’.  The teachers really make the difference; they genuinely care about the kids, and make each day a fun filled one.  Can't do without them!!   Julian would like to give a special shout-out-fist-bump to Ashley, Kevin, Daisy, Melody and Titi!

 

With all the lessons and guidance the teachers have impart, Julian has learned independence and self reliance. For example, he insists on feeding himself, he knows how to tidy up the toys after playtime (wish he would do the same at home!), and one of his favorite phrases is "Julian do by self".  The teachers are now potty training him and he's had a few successes!

 

Nana's Kids is a small community daycare which is one of the things we love about it. It is professionally run, has all the toys, facilities and curriculum necessary for a child's development. Coupled with a positive environment where the teachers get along and help one another out; reinforcing a happy place for a kid to grow up in.  As parents working in the city, Nana’s Kids provides us the convenience and flexibility of pick-up/drop-off times and location, being right next to the train station.  It truly works out for both Julian and us!

 

Recently, Julian had the best time turning 2 at Nana's Kids; he was spoiled with a wonderful birthday party thrown at school. The teachers did such an awesome job with the balloon dance party!!  It was smiles all around.

Dear Parents and Parents-to-Be,

 Our son has attended Nana’s Kids since he was 7 months old.  We could not be happier with his experience there.  From the very beginning, we have felt confident that he was receiving wonderful attention and care throughout the day.  The teachers have exceeded our expectations with their kind hearts, thoughtful ways, and love for our son.  It delighted us to know that they were enjoying him.  He has also learned many wonderful skills during his days there.  Each day we receive a written report about his daily activities, and detailed information about how he ate & slept.  Even more reassuring, the director regularly sends photos to our work e-mails, so we can see what he’s up to.

 We originally chose Nana’s Kids because they had a terrific ratio, a small, warm community environment, and the perfect location for us.  We now feel like the teachers and other children are an extended part of our family.  Additionally, our son is often having such a great time that he isn’t ready to leave when we arrive for pick-up.  We recommend Nana’s Kids to you based on our terrific experience and affection for everyone there.
