Daily Schedules.

Infants.

6:45-8:00: Arrival and free play 

8:00-8:30: Breakfast*

8:30-9:00: Clean up and diaper change

9:00-9:30: Group songs 

9:30-9:45: Fine motor for half the class and free play for the other half

10:00: outside play (when the weather permits) or free play and snack

10:45-11:00: Diaper changes and clean up 

11:00-11:30: Free play 

11:30-11:45: Lunch

11:45-12:00: Clean up and prepare for nap time 

12:00-2:00: Naptime** for the older children and gross motor directed activities for the children not sleeping

2:00-2:30: Diaper changes and story time 

2:30-3:00: Older infant daily activity (cognitive, sensory, fine, and gross motor) 

3:00-3:30: Snack

3:30-4:00: Free play

4:00-4:30: Music and movement

4:30-4:45: Diaper changes

4:45-6:00: Free play and second snack is offered 

6:00-6:45: Free play until dismissal

*While a structured feeding schedule is offered for older infants, the infant feeding schedules are customized with parents based on infant needs.

**Infant naptime schedules are customized based on infant needs.

Toddlers.

6:45-8:00: Arrival, helping children store belongings and select a quiet activity.

8:30-9:00: Breakfast

9:00-9:30: Circle time: activities based on the monthly curriculum along with learning new words, weather, colors, greetings (in both Spanish and English), and the alphabet.

9:30-9:45: Potty training 

9:45-10:00: Separate kids in groups for monthly curriculum activities

10:00-10:30: Snack

10:30-11:00: Children continue to play in their groups 

11:00-11:30: Potty training+diaper changes/lunch is served 

11:30-12:00: Lunch time, then children are cleaned and get ready for naptime

12:00-3:00: Naptime

3:00-3:15: Wake up/ potty training and diaper changes

3:15-3:30: Snack

3:30-4:45: Free play (can include kitchen play, toy trains, dinosaurs, building blocks, puzzles, etc.) 

4:45-5:00: Potty training and diaper changes

5:00-5:15: Snack

5:15-5:45: Physical activities (dancing)/ free play

5:45-6:45: Quiet activities (coloring and reading books)

Preschoolers.

6:45-8:00: Arrival, helping children store belongings and select a quiet activity.

8:30-9:00: Breakfast

9:00-9:30: Clean up and toileting

9:30-10:00: Circle Time: activities based on monthly curriculum along with reviewing the alphabet, spelling, the weather, colors, descriptive words, beginning to learn how to read, etc.

10:00-11:00: Outside play (when the weather permits otherwise the children play indoors)

10:30-11:00: Snack

11:00-11:30: Toileting/ free play

11:30-12:00: Lunch Time

12:00-12:30: Toileting and preparation for naptime (cots are set up, children are cleaned and given time to calm down)

12:30-3:00: Naptime

3:00-3:30: Toileting/ snack

3:30-4:30: Physical activities (mats, balls, climbing tubes, dancing)

4:30-5:00: Story time

5:00-5:30: Snacks/toileting

5:30-6:00: Self selected activities

6:00-6:45: Coloring

Field Trips.

Although COVID-19 has placed a short halt on field trips, children have had the opportunity to visit the Zoo, to go apple picking, and take trips to the fire station. These trips help the children take what they learn in the classroom and experience it for themselves.

Birthdays.

 Parents have the option of bringing in cupcakes to share throughout the daycare for their little one’s birthday! Toddlers and preschoolers also receive a custom-designed paper crown to commemorate their special day.

Holidays.

From Halloween costume parades to a curriculum covering Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa, Nana’s Kids places emphasis on educating children on the diverse backgrounds and various holidays they will encounter in life.
